Larry Wilf, MD

Larry Habelson Wilf, MD is a board-certified nuclear medicine physician with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute.

Dr. Wilf has specialized training in brain imaging CT/MRI/Nuclear Medicine and he is a certified user of PEM (positron emission mammography) and Anyvid (Alzheimer’s/Dementia) imaging.

Throughout his more than 40-year career, Dr. Wilf has held director-level clinical and academic appointments at the University of Florida Health Science Center, University Medical Center in Jacksonville, where he was recognized for outstanding performance and achievement. Actively involved in clinical research, Dr. Wilf has published numerous abstacts in professional journals and served as a featured speaker at clinical symmposiums across the U.S.

Dr. Wilf received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed radiology residency training at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, after which he completed a fellowship in nuclear medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Wilf was a tenured associate professor in radiology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. During those nine years, he was also the director of both the nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology departments. Dr. Wilf then transitioned from academic radiology into a private practice, multispecialty oncology group, where he helped develop, lead and establish one of the first multimodality oncologic imaging divisions in Florida, incorporating both fixed and mobile imaging suites.

His professional membership include, among others, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the American College of Nuclear Physicians, the Radiology Society of North America and the American College of Radiology.
