David C. Molthrop, Jr., MD
Dr. Molthrop is a medical oncologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Winter Park. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Duke University, Dr. David Molthrop has been providing compassionate, cutting-edge patient care in the Orlando and Winter Park communities for over 20 years and has been recognized as one of Orlando’s Best Doctors by Orlando Magazine. He has a keen interest in clinical research; since 2000, he has served as a Principal Investigator on numerous trials for the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), one of the leading clinical trial organizations in the world. His research had been published in several peer-review publications, including Breast Journal, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Advances in Hematology and Oncology. A respected physician leader and educator, Dr. Molthrop has previously served as Director of Clinical Oncology at Cooper Green Hospital in Birmingham, AL and as a Clinical Instructor of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Alabama.
