Michael Pentaleri, MD

Michael Pentaleri, MD is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS).

Dr. Pentaleri received his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark (now Rutgers Biomedical & Health Sciences). He completed an internship in basic medicine at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and residency training in diagnostic radiology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

Dr. Pentaleri served for nearly ten years as General Medical Officer and Radiologist in the United States Navy Reserve Medical Corps. As a Battalion and Regimental Surgeon at Camp Pendleton, he provided routine primary medical care and emergency medical treatment. At the Naval Hospital Pensacola, where he served as a diagnostic radiologist and department head, Dr. Pentaleri successfully implemented a teleradiology system joining the hospital and outlying clinics. Dr. Pentaleri completed his medical service in 2000, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Since that time, Dr. Pentaleri has provided comrpehensive diagnostic imaging services in hospital and outpatient settings throughout Florida. Prior to joining FCS in 2024, Dr. Pentaleri served for ten years as Diagnostic Radiologist and Partner with Radiology Associates of Tallahassee, a hospital-based private practice group. He has extensive experience in reading all imaging modalities, with a concentration in oncologic imaging including PET/CT, body and prostate MRI and nuclear medicine.
