Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Welcomes Medical Oncologist Mariuxi Viteri Malone, MD

Fort Myers, Fla., July 11, 2022 – Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) welcomes medical oncologist Mariuxi Viteri Malone, MD to the statewide practice. She is providing care to patients at FCS locations in Englewood, at 174 Doctors Drive, Englewood, FL 34223, at Venice Healthpark, 836 Sunset Lake Blvd., Suite 101, Venice, FL 34292 and on Venice Island, 901 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285.

Dr. Viteri Malone earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Cuenca School of Medicine in Cuenca, Ecuador, where she was named Valedictorian.  During her residency training in Internal Medicine at the MetroWest Medical Center of Tufts University School of Medicine in Framingham, MA, she was named as Best Teaching Resident.  Dr. Viteri Malone completed a Geriatric Medicine fellowship at Boston University’s Boston Medical Center and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.

Throughout her training, Dr. Viteri Malone gained extensive experience in clinical research, with a focus on providing and improving cancer care for older adults.  She currently serves as a member of the Cancer and Aging Research Group (CARG) and as a committee member of CARG’s Advocacy Group.
