FCS Welcomes Medical Oncologist and Hematologist Faye Yin, MD to Hernando County

Fort Myers, Fla., October 16, 2024 – Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) is pleased to welcome board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist Faye Yin, MD to the statewide practice. Dr. Yin is providing care to patients at the FCS Brooksville location in Hernando County.

FCS President & Managing Physician Lucio N. Gordan, MD, said, “Our patients in Hernando County will benefit tremendously from Dr. Yin’s extensive experience. She joins us with a wealth of expertise in clinical practice and research, and a passion for providing care with the utmost compassion.”

She began her career in the department of hematology at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China, where she obtained her medical degree and completed a fellowship in hematology.

After arriving in the U.S., Dr. Yin served for three years as a research fellow with the Gene Therapy Center of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and later completed internal medicine residency training at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, affiliated to Johns Hopkins Medical School, and hematology/oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. She has published more than 20 scientific papers in journals and two chapters in hematology textbook.”
