Bianca Ferrari, MD
Dr. Ferrari is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) in Lee and Charlotte Counties. Bianca Ferrari received her medical degree from the Holy House of Mercy School of Medicine in her native country, Brazil. She completed internal medicine residency training at McLaren Medical Center at the University of Michigan in Flint and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
While providing care to patients as a staff hematologist/oncologist with Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI, Dr. Ferrari served as an advisor to guide the use of nutrition, exercise, music therapy, natural supplements as well as alternative treatments in oncology care.
Prior to joining FCS in 2023, she led the start-up of the Hematology/Oncology program for Lee Health System in Fort Myers, FL, and served as medical director of the Survivorship and High-Risk Surveillance program. During that time, she participated in the Physician Leadership Development program, which was a collaboration between Lee Health and the American Academy for Physician Leadership.
Actively involved in clinical trial research, Dr. Ferrari was appointed as a young investigator in the Southeast Clinical Oncology Research Consortium, a program of the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, which provides patients with access to clinical trials in hospital settings.
