Kunal Saigal, MD
Radiation OncologistKunal Saigal, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS). He provides care to patients at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System in Sarasota, Florida, where he serves as medical director of the radiation oncology department.
Dr. Saigal completed the dual BS/MD honors degree program at the University of Miami. During medical school he completed a prestigious year-long clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on bench-to-bedside cancer research. He graduated with research distinction from the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and was named chief resident during his radiation oncology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in brachytherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
Following his medical training, Dr. Saigal provided care to patients at AdventHealth Cancer Institute and served as assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. He joined FCS in 2020 to lead the FCS/Sarasota memorial Healthcare radiation oncology program.
On the forefront of advancements in radiation therapy, Dr. Saigal has served as an invited lecturer, speaker and educator at professional symposiums and conferences. He has authored and co-authored numerous textbook chapters, articles and abstracts published in prestigious peer-reviewed publications.
His professional memberships include the American Brachytherapy Society, the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
An avid basketball player and NBA fan, Dr. Saigal also enjoys running, swimming and biking. His favorite pastime is enjoying the outdoors with his wife and three daughters.
