Ralph Gousse, MD
In addition to a thriving medical practice, Dr. Ralph Gousse has also been very involved in humanitarian work in his home country of Haiti since 2004. He is the president and co-founder of Haiti Help Med Plus, Inc., (www. haitihelpmed.org), a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that is working to improve the quality of life of the people of Haiti. Dr. Gousse makes mission trips to Haiti every three months and usually takes many volunteers with him.
Although Dr. Gousse practices exclusively scientific based medicine, he is also very attentive to patients’ requests for information about alternative medicine in cancer treatment. With so many claims being advertised to patients, he understands why they want to learn about other treatment options and he listens to them, talks to their alternative physicians, investigates those treatment options and advises them to the best of his knowledge. Dr. Gousse understands that some of these alternative treatment modalities may alleviate some side effects of chemotherapy. Even so, close follow up of these patients is necessary. It is better to have a patient tell you all of the medications being taken and treatments receiving rather than not knowing.
