Alexander Glick, MD

Dr. Glick is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, serving patients in Sarasota County. He values the trusted connection between patients and their physicians, recognizing it as a cornerstone of effective care.

After earning his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Glick completed his internal medicine residency at Trinity Health Michigan. During his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Oakland University William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, he was named as chief fellow and honored as the inaugural recipient of the Freeman Wilner Foundation Compassionate Care Award, recognizing his dedication to excellence, empathy, and compassionate care.

Board-certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine, Dr. Glick maintains a strong interest in clinical research. He has been published in leading oncology journals and serves as a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials at FCS.

Since joining FCS in 2016, Dr. Glick has taken on multiple leadership roles, including serving as a member of the Executive Board, the Finance & Compensation Committee, and as physician director of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. He is also active in his community, volunteering to provide education on cancer pathology, prevention, and treatment.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Glick enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with his family, and following Detroit sports.
