Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Participates in FLASCO 2021 Spring Summit
Access to quality cancer care to be addressed at statewide session
Fort Myers, Fla., April 15, 2021 – Physicians and leaders of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) are participating in the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) 2021 Business of Oncology Summit & Spring Session being held in Kissimmee, FL on April 16 & 17. The two-day statewide gathering of oncology physicians, clinicians and support staff will focus on strategies to resolve barriers that hinder access to cancer care.
FCS Assistant Managing Physician Michael Diaz, MD will moderate the Legislative & Regulatory Insights session, which will also feature FCS medical oncologist Paresh Patel, MD as a panelist. Dr. Diaz is a past President of FLASCO and currently serves as Director of Advocacy and Federal Legislative Committee Chair. Dr. Patel serves as FLASCO Legislative Committee Chair.
