Office Closures and Emergency Weather Updates For Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute

Hurricane Milton Update

The safety and well-being of our patients and employees is our highest priority. Our team members are assessing location conditions following Hurricane Milton to ensure the safe re-opening of our clinics. Please be assured that we have emergency plans in place to minimize any disruptions in patient care.

For medical questions that cannot wait until our offices reopen, patients may also reach out to our Patient Information Hotline to speak with a clinical expert during business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Nurses will be unable to make appointments.

Storm-Related Office Closures

The following FCS offices will be CLOSED until further notice.

  • CHARLOTTE COUNTY – Port Charlotte (re-opening planned for October 24)
  • SARASOTA COUNTY – Englewood (re-opening on Monday, October 21)

All other FCS offices will be open as scheduled.

The decision to reopen FCS offices is continuously being evaluated. Updates are also being provided on our Patient Information Hotline and on our social media pages:

As our offices reopen, an FCS team member will contact patients as soon as possible to reschedule any appointments that may have been missed. Note that some appointments may need to be scheduled at an alternate FCS location. Please direct specific questions to your local office location. Our answering service will assist you with any non-medical emergencies. In case of a medical emergency, please dial 911. Thank you all for your understanding.

We encourage you to follow the recommendations of state and local officials following the storm. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this storm. Please be safe.

Temporary Office Closures

The following FCS office will be temporarily closed beginning Thursday, September 12, 2024. We anticipate this closure lasting until the end of October.

  • SARASOTA COUNTY – Englewood

All FCS offices are open as scheduled.

Patients with existing appointments are being contacted by FCS team members and will have their appointments rescheduled to the following locations until the Englewood office reopens:
