Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Expands Radiation Oncology Capabilities in Sarasota and Manatee Counties
Reema Ishteiwy, MD, PhD Joins Statewide Practice
Fort Myers, Fla., August 18, 2025 — Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) is pleased to announce that radiation oncologist Reema Ishteiwy, MD, PhD has joined its team of cancer experts providing specialized treatment to patients at the Radiation Oncology Center at Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute. She joins FCS board-certified radiation oncologists Kunal Saigal, MD, medical director of the Radiation Oncology Center, Matthew C. Biagioli, MD, MS and John Bollinger, MD.
FCS Assistant Managing Physician David Wenk, MD, said, “FCS continues to keep pace with ongoing rapid growth in our Gulf Coast communities to ensure residents have convenient access to comprehensive world-class cancer care. FCS Medical Director of Radiation Oncology Sachin Kamath, MD added, “Dr. Ishteiwy and her colleagues are highly skilled in the most advanced radiotherapy techniques and are committed to delivering the most precise and effective treatment options for patients.”
Dr. Ishteiwy earned her medical degree and a doctorate in molecular and cellular pharmacology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Louisville Medical School in Kentucky. She has been actively involved in clinical research, with a focus on prostate and gynecologic cancers.
