Radiation Oncologist

Reema Ishteiwy, MD is a radiation oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota County, Florida.

Dr. Ishteiwy earned her medical degree and a doctorate in molecular and cellular pharmacology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Louisville Medical School. Actively involved in clinical research, with a focus on prostate and gynecologic cancers, Dr. Ishteiwy has served as a research coordinator and co-investigator for numerous clinical trials published in clinical journals.

Dr. Ishteiwy is deeply committed to global and local health outreach, demonstrated by her consistent participation in service-oriented programs.  Through the Medical Students in Action (MSA) Dominican Republic Program, she held multiple leadership roles—including pharmacology director and dermatology station manager—and helped organize recurring fundraisers. In addition, she contributed to the Department of Community Service (DOCS) by coordinating health fair stations focused on women’s and dermatologic health in underserved communities across Florida.

Dr. Ishteiwy joined FCS in 2025.
