John Bollinger, MD

Dr. Bollinger is a board-certified radiation oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Downtown Sarasota, Florida.

Dr. Bollinger has vast experience in community, inpatient and academic settings. He served for 16 years as medical director of radiation oncology with Sanford Health in Bemidji, Minnesota, where, as Cancer Committee chairman, he led the center in gaining its first Commission on Cancer Accreditation and breast center accreditation. Prior to joining FCS in 2025, Dr. Bollinger served as a radiation oncologist with AdventHealth Cancer Institute in Sebring, Florida.

Actively involved in research as a clinical investigator, Dr. Bollinger has published several abstracts and articles in prestigious medical journals. He has also instructed radiation oncologists in the use of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and other advanced therapies.

Dr. Bollinger received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
