Juan Garza, MD
Juan Garza, MD is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Hillsborough County.
Dr. Garza received his medical degree from the Universidad de Monterrey Facultad de Medicina in Mexico. At the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in hematology and oncology, he was named as chief fellow and was a two-time recipient of Most Compassionate medical resident awards.
Dr. Garza has co-authored abstracts and presented research at numerous industry symposiums. Prior to joining FCS in 2024, Dr. Garza provided oncology care with Oncology Consultants in Pasadena, Texas.
In his personal time, Dr. Garza enjoys listening to jazz music and reading nonfiction books, especially on topics of history and American politics. He also enjoys jogging, the sport of boxing, playing chess and watching movies with his wife at old theaters.
