Sweta Jonnalagadda, MD

Dr. Jonnalagadda is a board certified Medical Oncologist and Hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Pasco County. As a hospitalist, Dr. Jonnalagadda specializes in providing in-patient care and support for patients who are hospitalized.

Sweta Jonnalagadda, MD received her medical degree with high honors from the Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. She completed Internal Medicine residency training and served as Chief Resident at Saint Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, MI and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at East Carolina University in Greenville, SC, where she was named as Chief Fellow.  She is Board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Actively involved in research studies throughout her medical career, Dr. Jonnalagadda’s work has been presented as well as published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Annals of Medicine and the Journal of Hospital Medicine.

She joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2022.  Previously, she provided hematology and oncology care to patients at Baptist Medical Group in Pensacola, FL. While there she was involved in the development of a high-risk screening/genetic counseling clinic and served on the Breast Cancer Leadership Committee.
