Nancy Ardell

Nancy is a seasoned attorney with 25 years of practice in healthcare, senior living and banking. She has considerable experience advising boards and executive teams, while managing legal, risk management, compliance, workers’ compensation, litigation and insurance matters. She has consistently played a lead role in building high performing, service-focused teams and fostering cultures of safety, transparency and operational excellence. In addition, she has served as a board member for several off-shore insurance captives and physician joint ventures.

Prior to joining FCS, she held the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer for Northwest Community Healthcare, a Chicago based health system, and facilitated negotiations, diligence and regulatory approvals for a merger with NorthShore University HealthSystem.  She also served as the Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Enlivant, a private equity backed assisted living company with 230 locations in 26 states and held various in-house counsel roles with Northwestern Medicine and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. Nancy began her career as a commercial lender and later as an attorney for ABN AMRO/LaSalle National Bank in Chicago.

Nancy earned her undergraduate degree from DePauw University as a Management Fellow majoring in Economics. She later received her Juris Doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Nancy and her husband have three grown children and enjoy traveling.
