Victor W. Melgen, MD
Dr. Melgen received his Medical Degree with honors at the University of Pedro Henríquez Urena in Santo Domingo D R. Both his internship and residency were served at the internationally recognized University of Miami Jackson Memorial and Miami Veterans Hospital in Miami Florida. He completed fellowships in both hematology and oncology at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and Sylvester Cancer Center in Miami Florida.
Dr. Melgen’s research interests include both chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic treatments of Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Lymphomas and adult Leukemias but is committed to care for patients of all tumor types. Dr. Melgen has been practicing in the community for almost twenty years and has participated in multiple community investigational trials in conjunction with Sarah Canon Cancer Center, University of Louisville James Graham Brown Cancer Center and well-known pharmaceutical companies sponsored trials. He maintains membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association and Florida American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Melgen is triple boarded and speaks English and Spanish fluently.
