Shaachi Gupta, MD, MPH

Shaachi Gupta, MD, MPH earned her medical degree from Sarojini Naidu Medical College in Agra, India. She is Board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and Internal Medicine. After graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry with a Master of Public Health degree, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Gupta was then awarded a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, MA and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Prior to joining FCS, Dr. Gupta cared for cancer patients at NexGen Oncology in Dallas, TX and Arizona Oncology in Tempe, AZ. While treating a wide range of cancer and blood disorders, she led breast cancer research at Arizona Oncology and served as a principal investigator in multiple studies with a focus on breast cancer.

Dr. Gupta believes in a team approach to treat cancer with the patient at the center of care. The management of cancer requires addressing multiple aspects of life, happiness and family. She prides herself in providing evidence-based care and is constantly looking for new approaches and treatment options developed in the field. She considers the patient’s wishes and goals of care in making treatment decisions. Dr. Gupta strongly believes that improving quality of life and mitigating side effects through a team approach results in better outcomes. She takes her time with her patients to explain the disease, the treatment options and ensures that the patients leave her office with all their questions answered.

Dr. Gupta is married to a physician who practices in the community and loves to spend time with her two children. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, biking and traveling.
