Ram Tummala, MD
Dr. Tummala is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sumter, Marion and Lake counties.
Since 1995, he has provided community-based oncology care and is an advocate for ensuring patients have convenient access to comprehensive, compassionate care close to home.
Dr. Tummala completed residency training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was awarded fellowships in hematology and oncology at the University of Cincinnati Medical School and H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, where he completed an additional year of training in the bone marrow transplant fellowship program.
His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Tummala has presented abstracts at international symposiums and contributed content to medical textbooks.
