Rakesh Rohatgi, MD
Dr. Rohatgi is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sumter, Lake and Marion counties.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Rohatgi has been providing care to patients for all types of cancers, with a special interest in blood disorders and solid tumor cancers. He is dedicated to developing individualized treatment plans for each patient, combining expertise with a warm and approachable manner that helps patients feel comfortable and supported.
Dr. Rohatgi received his medical degree from Aligarh University in India. He completed residency training at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York and a fellowship in oncology and hematology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center.
An avid reader and fitness enthusiast, he enjoys tennis and cycling. Dr. Rohatgi and his wife have twin sons, who are following in their father’s footsteps by pursuing careers in medicine.
