Paul M. Dodd, MD
Dr. Dodd is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Volusia County.
Dr. Dodd is actively involved in clinical research. His work has been published in numerous journals such as Cancer, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Urology. He has also written reviews and chapters for Urologic Clinics of North America and the American Cancer Society Textbook of Clinical Oncology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dodd has witnessed the dramatic improvements brought about through clinical research, such as targeted therapies and immunotherapies that attack specific cancer cells. He notes that clinical trials offer patients many more options beyond standard treatments and often result in a positive response.
Dr. Dodd completed his medical degree and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. After completing his oncology/ hematology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Dodd returned to the Daytona area. He joined FCS in 2013 and serves on the FCS Compliance Committee.
Dr. Dodd’s interests include running, gardening and spending time with his family. He and his wife have two daughters and a son.
