Miguel Pelayo, MD
Dr. Pelayo is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Pelayo is actively involved in clinical research. He has presented several case studies at professional symposiums.
Dr. Pelayo was born in Miami and has lived and studied in Florida most of his life. He received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico. During his internship and residency at the University of South Florida/H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, he was chosen consecutively as internal medicine intern of the year, outstanding resident and internal medicine resident of the year.
Dr. Pelayo joined FCS in 2015 and serves on the Audit Committee.
He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
