Mariuxi Viteri Malone, MD

Dr. Viteri Malone is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sarasota and Charlotte counties.

Dr. Viteri Malone earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Cuenca School of Medicine in Ecuador, graduating as valedictorian. She completed her internal medicine residency at MetroWest Medical Center, a Tufts University School of Medicine affiliate in Framingham, Massachusetts, and was recognized as the program’s best teaching resident. Dr. Viteri Malone went on to complete a geriatric medicine fellowship at Boston University’s Boston Medical Center and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where she was recognized with the APEX (Applauding Person-centered Excellence) Award for outstanding patient care.

Throughout her training, Dr. Viteri Malone gained extensive experience in clinical research. She currently serves as a member of the Cancer and Aging Research Group (CARG), a national research consortium focused on improving care for older adults with cancer.

Dr. Viteri Malone is deeply committed to volunteer service and enjoys volunteering at health fairs to foster good health habits among children and adults.

She joined FCS in 2022.
