
Marisabel H. Castillo, MD
Dr. Castillo is a hematologist and medical oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Palm Beach County
Dr. Castillo graduated magna cum laude from the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas. She received the Outstanding Continuity Clinic Resident Award during her internal medicine residency at New York University and was later appointed chief fellow during her hematology/medical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin. She is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.
Through active involvement in clinical research, Dr. Castillo has contributed to the development of innovative immunotherapies as well as strategies to identify and reduce disparities in cancer diagnosis and treatment. During her medical training, she served as research coordinator of Phase 1 oncology clinical trials at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles and as cardiology research assistant at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
When she is not working, Dr. Castillo enjoys running, exploring the outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends.
