Joseph R. Mace, MD

Dr. Joseph Mace is a board-certified oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Pinellas county.  After graduating summa cum laude from the State University of New York Medical Center at Syracuse, Dr. Mace completed his residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Mace joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2011 and serves as director of the Radioimmunotherapy Program. He is one of very few medical oncologists in the country licensed to prescribe and administer radiotherapeutic agents to treat lymphoma and prostate cancer. He has also served as a thought leader in the FCS Clinical Research Program and been a site principal investigator on over 40 clinical trials since joining FCS. He has been published in several prestigious oncology journals.

Dr. Mace previously served as vice chairman and chairman of the department of medicine and as cancer committee physician liaison at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
