Hassan Hasanein, MD
Dr. Hasanein is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (FCS) in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Dr. Hasanein earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus School of Medicine in Syria. He completed internal medicine residency training at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and a fellowship in oncology/hematology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he served as chief fellow.
During his residency training, Dr. Hasanein conducted clinical research in the melanoma department at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He was involved in data collection and analysis and was responsible for building a bio-tissue bank.
Prior to joining FCS in 2025, Dr. Hasanein was in private practice in Lakeland, Florida.
Dr. Hasanein enjoys cooking Italian and Mediterranean food, soccer, table tennis and collecting old coins and stamps.
