Gilberto Rodrigues, MD

Dr. Rodrigues is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Alachua and Columbia counties.

After earning his medical degree from Faculdade de Ciencias Medicas, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil, Dr. Rodrigues completed a residency in infectious diseases at Hospital do Servidor Publico Estadual, São Paulo, Brazil and another in internal medicine at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where he also completed a fellowship in hematology, oncology and blood and  marrow transplantation.

Dr. Rodrigues has presented at multiple national and international conferences, including meetings in The Netherlands, Canada and the UK. In 2009, he was highlighted in Milwaukee Magazine’s “Best Doctors” publication. Prior to joining FCS, he provided care to patients with Aurora Advanced Healthcare in Summit, WI, Oncology Alliance and Waukesha Oncology Associates.
