
Dinesh Keerty, MD, FACP
Dr. Keerty is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Hernando County.
Dr. Keerty brings a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals affected by cancer and blood disorders, grounded in clinical expertise and compassionate care. With a strong foundation in internal medicine, his passion for hematology-oncology has shaped a career dedicated to advancing patient outcomes and supporting families throughout the cancer journey.
Prior to joining FCS in 2025, Dr. Keerty served for seven years as medical director of urgent/emergency care at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, where he led critical improvements in the emergency management of cancer and hematology patients. He also served as an associate professor of medicine at the University of South Florida, where he mentored internal medicine residents and contributed to impactful clinical research published in top-tier medical journals and presented at national symposiums.
Dr. Keerty earned his medical degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in India, followed by an internal medicine residency at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
As a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Keerty is recognized for his excellence in internal medicine, professional leadership and dedication to teaching.
