Behavioral Health TherapistCarla is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 14 years of experience providing compassionate care in diverse medical settings.
Carla is experienced in helping individuals and families cope with significant life events, chronic medical conditions, anxiety, depression and grief. She has a strong background in assisting clients navigating end-of-life issues and anticipatory grief. Her treatment approach is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic techniques that consider each individual’s unique needs.
She earned a bachelor’s degree at Florida International University and a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Central Florida. Having spent her childhood in South America, she is fluent in Spanish and English.
Carla is a certified oncology social worker (OSW-C™) with the Board of Oncology Social Work and a certified case manager of the Commission for Case Manager Certification. She is a member of the Florida Society of Oncology Social Workers.
Carla is available to schedule telehealth therapy sessions with FCS patients for individual, couples and family sessions, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
