Andres Bhatia, MD

Dr. Bhatia is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Alachua County, Florida.

Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Dr. Bhatia received his medical degree from UCCEM in Puerto Rico. He completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Bhatia joined Gainesville Hematology Oncology Associates in 1993, prior to the practice merging with FCS in 2010. He serves on the FCS Quality Committee and is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Bhatia has served as chief of staff at North Florida Regional Medical Center since 2011.

Married and the father of three children, Dr. Bhatia enjoys Gator sports and jogging.
