Ananth Iyer, MD

Dr. Anathakrishnan Iyer is an oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Pinellas County. He loves being an oncologist and helping his patients through their journey with cancer. He believes the most important aspect of being a physician is how he spends time communicating with each patient. Treatment advances increasingly are providing him the ability to personalize treatments that focus on each individual’s unique cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Iyer is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from Calicut Medical College in India and completed additional training in Pathology and Diabetes Research. He completed Internal Medicine residency training at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and a hematology/oncology fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
