Alexander Glick, MD

Dr. Alexander Glick is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, serving patients in Sarasota county.

After earning both his undergraduate and medical degrees, Dr. Glick completed his internal medicine residency in Michigan, followed by a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he served as Chief Fellow. During his fellowship, he was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Freeman Wilner Foundation Award, recognizing his dedication to excellence, commitment to patients, and compassionate care.

Board-certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine, Dr. Glick maintains a strong interest in clinical research. He has been published in leading oncology journals and serves as a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials at FCS. He values the trusted connection between patients and their physicians, recognizing it as a cornerstone of effective care.

Since joining FCS in 2016, Dr. Glick has taken on multiple leadership roles, including serving as a member of the Executive Board, the Finance & Compensation Committee, and as physician director of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. He is also active in his community, volunteering to provide education on cancer pathology, prevention, and treatment.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Glick enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with his family, and following Detroit sports.
