Aamer Farooq, MD
Dr. Farooq is an Internist, Oncologist and Hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Seminole, Osceola and Orange Counties. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and a fellowship in Hematology Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2013, a National Comprehensive Cancer Network [NCCN] member institution, Founded in 1898 as the nation’s first cancer center. He has published his research in several peer-reviewed journals like: Ann of Thoracic Surgery, Journal of Thoracic Oncology, Cancer, IASLC, AIDS, AHNS, Breast Cancer (Auckl) and Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Dr Farooq was named Best Hematologist Oncologist by AY Magazine and his work won prestigious Tsuguo Naruke Award for research project at World Lung Cancer Conference. Dr Farooq is Ex-President APPNA Hematology and Oncology Chapter.
Fluent in multiple languages (Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Saraiki and English), Dr. Farooq enjoys traveling, bicycling, playing cricket and spending time with his family.
