Dr. Lunin finds the practice of oncology/hematology extremely satisfying as a physician because he believes oncology offers a specialty of medicine which is intensely scientific, as well as intensely humanistic, given the fact that oncologists deal with life-threatening conditions almost every day. He joined FCS in 2002 and actively conducts clinical trial research as part of the FCS research program. “The research that we conduct pushes the scientific frontiers,” he says. “Hopefully, the studies we do today will help reduce the burden of suffering for patients in the future.”
Dr. Scott Lunin discusses his role to take care of his patients both physically and emotionally.
