Raul E. Storey, MD
Dr. Storey is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, serving patients in Indian River County.
Dr. Storey is dedicated to delivering the most advanced, compassionate and personalized cancer care possible, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and innovation. Actively involved in clinical research, Dr. Storey has published in prestigious medical journals and presented at scientific meetings throughout the U.S. and internationally.
He earned his medical degree from the Universidad de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela and completed his internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University. He then completed fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of Louisville James Graham Brown Cancer Center, where he also gained experience with the MD Anderson Cancer Center Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy department.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Storey serves as co-chair of the FCS Foundation. Celebrating its 15 year anniversary in 2026, the Foundation has helped support more than 10,000 patients across Florida and provided more than $18 million in grants to individuals and families facing the financial burden of cancer. Through this work, Dr. Storey remains deeply committed to expanding access to compassionate support beyond the walls of the clinic.
Dr. Storey is driven by a personal mission to enhance the experience of cancer treatment by connecting mind, body and soul—an approach he refers to as “beautiful healing.” In support of that vision, he created the Healing Arts Medicine program, which integrates creative expression and the liberal arts into the cancer journey. He also helped develop the Healing Arts Hub, a platform that offers virtual arts-based programs and experiences for patients, caregivers, and the broader community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Storey enjoys running, paddle surfing, polo, traveling and playing guitar.

Dr. Raul E. Storey knew from a young age that he wanted to be a doctor. Dr. Storey became interested in medicine long before med school when his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After walking the journey with his father, he became inspired to help others the way his father had been helped. Dr. Storey is passionate about building strong relationships with his patients and strives to be available at every step to provide knowledge, guidance, and support. Dr. Storey provides oncology care to patients at Florida Cancer Specialists locations in East Vero and Sebastian, FL.
