Jessica Stine, MD
Medical Director, Gynecology OncologyDr. Stine is a Gynecologic Oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Pasco County. After earning her medical degree from the University of Miami, Dr. Jessica Stine completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital where she served as administrative chief resident. She was then awarded a fellowship in gynecologic oncology from the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Prior to joining FCS, Dr. Stine established herself as a well-respected gynecologic oncologist caring for patients in the Tampa Bay area. She worked as a proctor and speaker at da Vinci Surgery and as an associate professor for the obstetrics and gynecology residency at Brandon Regional Hospital. Dr. Stine is an advanced robotic surgeon who performs the highest volume of gynecologic robotic surgery in the Tampa Bay area. She has a special interest in fertility sparing approaches and is one of the few physicians trained to perform a radical trachelectomy for young cervical cancer patients who wish to preserve their ability to conceive.
Dr. Stine is Board-certified in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology. She has a strong interest in research with a focus on ovarian, endometrial cancers and palliative care. She has presented at numerous professional conferences, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and she has won multiple awards for excellence in research.
Dr. Stine serves as a National GYN Oncology Observation Site for Intuitive Surgical, providing advanced education and training for surgeons who perform procedures using the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system. She is one of eight sites in the U.S. to have achieved this prestigious designation, which was a career goal for her. As an observation site, Dr. Stine provides on-site training to surgeons seeking to develop the advanced clinical skills and experience necessary as the use of minimally invasive surgery continues to expand across gynecologic oncology and other specialties. Dr. Stine was selected based on her extensive experience performing more than 1,500 da Vinci surgery cases, and for meeting and exceeding best in class volume and efficiency metrics and clinical outcomes.
Outside of FCS, Dr. Stine dedicates her free time to her husband, Dr. Michael Stine, who is an OBGYN, as well as her two children. She enjoys cooking delicious healthy meals, relaxing on the beach, Disney and exercising every day. Dr. Stine’s secret talent is making custom decorated cakes for her children, friends and family.
