Don D. Luong, MD
Dr. Luong is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Pinellas County.
Dr. Luong chose to practice oncology because it is always moving forward. The many new therapies that specifically target and destroy cancers provide many therapies that enable him to truly personalize care for his patients.
Dr. Luong completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine, serving as chief resident, at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, as well as a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of South Florida H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. He is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Luong joined FCS in 2011. He previously provided care to patients at Gulfcoast Oncology Associates in Largo, Florida.
In his personal time, he enjoys golf, tennis, fantasy (Rotisserie) baseball, attending concerts and cheering for all the Tampa Bay professional sports teams.
