Andres O. Soriano, MD
Dr. Soriano is an oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Charlotte and Sarasota counties.
A graduate of Universidad de Guayaquil Medical School in his native Ecuador, Dr. Soriano is board-certified in hematology, oncology and internal medicine. He completed residencies in internal medicine at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital, St. Louis University – Forest Park Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he was awarded a fellowship in hematology/ oncology and later served as an adjunct assistant professor in medical oncology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Soriano has been active in clinical trial research, with a special interest in Phase 1 clinical trials. He has received numerous awards for his work and his research has been published in such prestigious journals as Blood, American Journal of Hematology and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French, Dr. Soriano likes reading about world history, ancient cultures, global business news and biographies. He also enjoys music and dancing and staying active through running and exercise. Dr. Soriano and his wife own a real estate company and enjoy spending time with their daughter.
