Amir Harandi, MD, MS
Dr. Harandi is an Oncologist and Hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Manatee County with offices in Lakewood Ranch. He received his internal medicine training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital of Columbia University in New York City, with extensive rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He later joined the faculty at Columbia University as an assistant professor of internal medicine. After completing subspecialty fellowship training in hematology/medical oncology at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky., Dr. Harandi spent six years in Louisville caring for cancer patients and served on the faculty at the University of Louisville. He joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2017.
Demonstrated by his active participation in various research projects throughout his training, Dr. Harandi has an avid interest in clinical research. He has served as principal investigator in a number of clinical trials and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the prestigious Journal of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Harandi evaluates and treats a broad spectrum of hematological and oncological diseases. He takes pride in providing his patients with exceptional care, utilizing the best evidence-based treatments and clinical trials available.
