Sandeep K. Thaper, MD
Dr. Thaper is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Lake, Marion and Sumter counties.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Delhi in his birthplace of New Delhi, India, Dr. Thaper completed internal medicine residency training at Helene Fuld Medical Center in New Jersey and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at University Hospital of Brooklyn at Long Island College Hospital in New York.
Prior to joining FCS, Dr. Thaper held leadership positions as vice chief and chief of oncology and vice chief and chief of the medical staff at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Lake County, Florida.
Dr. Thaper is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He is committed to giving back to the community through his involvement in local organizations, including the American Cancer Society and its Relay For Life program. Dr. Thaper resides in central Florida with his family.
