Vipul Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Marion County.
After receiving his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the West Indies, Dr. Patel completed residency training at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, and fellowships in oncology and hematology at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans and at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is actively involved in clinical research and his work has been widely published and presented at industry symposiums. As director of clinical trials for an Institutional Review Board in Gaston, North Carolina from 2008 to 2011, he was responsible for protecting the rights and welfare of patients involved in research. He previously served as an instructor of hematology and oncology to second year medical students at Meharry Medical College in Nashville.
