Raju Vaddepally, MD
Dr. Vaddepally is a triple board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Naples.
Dr. Vaddepally specializes in the comprehensive management of benign blood disorders, hematological malignancies, and a wide array of solid tumors. His clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of complex disorders of the blood, bone marrow, and lymphatic system, with extensive experience in myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelofibrosis, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
In addition to his work in hematology, Dr. Vaddepally possesses specialized expertise in treating solid tumors, including lung, colorectal, pancreatic, and hepatocellular cancers, as well as breast, genitourinary, melanoma, neuroendocrine tumors, sarcomas, and CNS malignancies. Patients under his care benefit from a personalized “precision medicine” approach, utilizing tumor-specific genomic testing and targeted therapies to ensure every treatment plan is tailored to their unique genetic profile. He is a strong advocate for patient access to cutting-edge clinical trials and is deeply committed to achieving equity in cancer care through grassroots advocacy and community-level research.
Before joining FCS in 2025, Dr. Vaddepally served as the research director at Lee Health Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers. He has served in significant leadership roles, including the board of directors for the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) and as an executive member of the ACCC Immuno-Oncology Institute. In 2023, he served as president of the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society (TACOS). He has also contributed to the broader scientific community as a member of the Scientific Review Committee for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and as an executive member of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC).
Dr. Vaddepally earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, followed by an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Josephine Ford Cancer Institute. During his tenure as chairman of medicine at Yuma Regional Medical Center from 2018 to 2023, he received a Quality Award for implementing a comprehensive lung cancer screening program initiative that successfully integrated community tobacco cessation with advanced diagnostic technologies, such as EBUS and robotic-assisted surgical techniques. His research and clinical findings have been widely published in peer-reviewed scientific literature.
