Mohammed Shiekhmohammed, MD
PathologistDr. Mohammed Shiekhmohammed is Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. After earning his medical degree from the University of Aleppo Hospital in Aleppo, Syria, he completed his residency in clinical and anatomic pathology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY, which is where he was awarded a fellowship in hematopathology. During his externships, he served patients at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.
Prior to his training in Pathology, Dr. Shiekhmohammed worked as a microbiologist. He also taught undergraduate courses in microbiology and medical laboratory and blood banking at the Technical Institute of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria.
Dr. Shiekhmohammed is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). His research has been presented at annual scientific meetings including USCAP, the Pan Pacific Lymphoma Conferences and the American Association of Neuropathologists.
