In conjunction with our partners at North Florida Radiation Oncology and The Cancer Center at North Florida Regional Healthcare, we can now offer patients the utmost in functional, modern space and cutting-edge technologies. We are committed to setting a new standard in cancer treatment and demonstrating the true power of what community oncology can be.”
The Gainesville Cancer Center was built in coordination with NFRH and North Florida Radiation Oncology to provide comprehensive services situated in a convenient central location. The new center was also planned with the input of a group of cancer patients from Florida Cancer Specialists and North Florida Radiation Oncology (NFRO), who advised the design team from the patients’ point of view.
Gainesville Cancer Center utilizes evidence-based design to achieve functional and aesthetic outcomes that increase operational efficiencies for providers while also creating environments that enhance patient experiences and reduce stress. Empirical evidence supports the process of involving multiple parties and considering factors such as stress, efficiency, safety, privacy, and noise in design. These factors impact a broad range of patient emotions and the resultant healing process.
