Florida Cancer Specialists Welcomes Adetokunbo "Toks" Oluwasanjo, MD
Medical Oncologist/Hematologist joins Florida Cancer Specialists in Lake City
Fort Myers, Fla., November 4, 2019 — Medical Oncologist/Hematologist Adetokunbo “Toks” Oluwasanjo, MD has joined Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) in the new FCS Lake City office (795 State Road 47, Lake City).
Dr. Toks received her medical degree from the University of Ibadan, College of Medicine, Ibadan, Nigeria. She went on to complete internships in internal medicine at Duro Soleye Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria and at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Reading Hospital & Medical Center in Reading, Pa. and her fellowship in medical oncology/hematology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
The author and co-author of several peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, Dr. Toks published a case series in Cancer Causes & Control (CCC) on therapy-related leukemia secondary to radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer. She has been invited to make clinical presentations and, most recently, was the co-author of a book chapter on peripheral T-cell lymphoma. For three years, she served on the faculty in the department of medicine of the Reading Health System (now Tower Health System). Dr. Toks is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and a frequent contributing blogger.
