Nation’s Largest Independent Oncology Group Adds New Physician in Sarasota


Fort Myers, FL – August 1, 2016……… Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) ), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, is pleased to announce that Kevin Koehler, MD has joined the practice and will be seeing patients at the Sarasota Downtown office of Florida Cancer Specialists, located at 1970 Golf Street, Sarasota, FL.

A graduate of the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, OH, Dr. Koehler completed his Internal Medicine Residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He stayed on at Ohio State to complete his Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the James Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he was named Chief Fellow during his final year of training. He was recognized multiple times for extraordinary teaching, as well as receiving several awards for clinical excellence. In 2015, he attended the AACR/ASCO Vail Methods in Clinical Cancer Research. He was published in Annals of Oncology during his final year of fellowship and has a keen interest in clinical research, demonstrated by his active participation in various research projects throughout his training.
