Thomas Tang, MD

Dr. Tang is an oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Hernando county. He has been providing care to patients in Spring Hill, Florida for more than 20 years. He describes this as an exciting time to practice oncology, given the many new and sophisticated modalities that are now available.

Dr. Huayang Thomas Tang completed undergraduate training at West China University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine, Chengdu, Sichuan, China and received his medical doctorate at the University of Geneva in Switzerland.  He completed Internal Medicine residency training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at New York University Medical Center/Kaplan Comprehensive Cancer Center.

He served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, and his work has been published in numerous professional publications. Dr. Tang joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2012.
