Wasif Riaz, MD

Dr. Riaz is an oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Highlands and Polk Counties. He has extensive experience in translational and clinical research, having served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York until 2010, and later through his involvement in writing clinical protocols for Phase I/II clinical trials at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Some of his numerous publications and presentations/poster sessions include articles in such prestigious journals as Cancer Control, British Journal of Hematology, Immunological Research and Blood, as well as presentations at the annual meetings of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Fluent in four languages, including English, Dr. Riaz also enjoys listening to music, watching sports and swimming.
