Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Announces New Physicians to Statewide Practice


Nation’s Largest Privately-Owned Hematology/Oncology Group Welcomes Dr. Rushir Choksi, Dr. Jennifer Cultrera, Dr. Vivian Griffin, Dr. Li Li & Dr. David Wenk

Ft. Myers, FL – September 17, 2012. . . . . . . . . Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute announces the addition of five new physicians to their practice:

Rushir Choksi, M.D. is a medical oncologist who will be practicing at our New Port Richey and Land O’ Lakes offices. Dr. Choksi completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and comes from the Oncology-Hematology Association at UPMC St. Margaret.

Jennifer Cultrera, M.D., a medical oncologist, will be practicing at the Inverness and Villages offices. Dr. Cultrera comes to FCS from H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and a prior position at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She also is currently an assistant professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Vivian Griffin, M.D. is a radiation oncologist who will be practicing at the FCS clinics in Largo – Highland Avenue and New Port Richey. Dr. Griffin comes to FCS from the Cancer Treatment Group at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Li Li, M.D., a hematopathologist, will be working out of our pathology lab located in Ft Myers. Dr. Li worked as a research associate at the Blood Center of Wisconsin and Brigham & Woman’s Hospital in Boston, MA before completing her residency and fellowship at Albany Medical Center in Hematopathology.

David Wenk, M.D. is a medical oncologist who will be practicing at the FCS clinic in New Port Richey. Dr. Wenk comes to FCS from Florida Cancer Affiliates and his prior position at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center where he served as a Clinical Faculty Member in the Department of Medicine as well as the Department of Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
